Joshna Chinappa, Kush Kumar Reach Quarters at Victorian Open Squash
While Joshna Chinappa defeated Selena Shaikh of Australia 11-5, 11-5, 11-2, Kush Kumar came from behind to beat Kashif Shuja of New Zealand 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3.

Third seed Joshna was in fine touch as she made short work of Selena Shaikh of Australia 11-5, 11-5, 11-2 in the opening round of the USD 15,000 event.
However, 12th seed Sachika Ingale made an early exit following a tame first round defeat against sixth seed Amanda Landers Murphy of New Zealand in straight games.
She was outplayed 7-11 2-11 2-11 by the Kiwi player.
In the men's section, unseeded Kush, a trainee at the Indian Squash Academy, kept his hopes alive with another encouraging display against Kashif Shuja of New Zealand. He emerged victorious with a 8-11, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 scoreline.
Mahesh swept aside the challenge of Joshua Larkins of Australia 11-5, 11-6, 11-7.
