India's Alok Kumar stormed into the final of the IBSF World Billiards Championship here on Friday to set up a title clash with Englishman David Causier.
Alok easily beat country-mate Devendra Joshi 5-1 (150-52 150-34 117-150 150-37 150-116 150-138), while Causier got the better of another Englishman Rob Hall 5-1 (150-46 79-150 150-37 150-27 150-28 150-07) in the semifinals.
In the quarterfinals, Rupesh Shah lost out to Robert Hall 3-4 (00-150 150-53 107-150 84-150 150-94 150-15 19-150).
In their respective last-8 matches, Alok beat B Bhaskar 4-3 (150-55 150-47 150-02 148-150 30-150 39-150 150-102), while Joshi defeated Arun Agrawal 4-2 (150-72 112-150 150-00 150-125 07-150 150-117).
Another experienced Indian, Ashok Shandilya lost to Causier 0-4 (100-150 16-150 13-150 103-150) while Arun Agrawal beat Michael Pearson (Aus) 4-0 (150-32 150-105 150-17 150-21).
