Gymnast Dipa Karmakar Felicitated by Oil India Limited
Dipa Karmakar was felicitated in a ceremony in Agartala last week and presented with a cheque of Rs five Lakh in appreciation of her efforts in bringing glory to the nation in gymnastics.

Dipa Karmakar, who became the first Indian woman gymnast to win a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, has been felicitated by Oil India Limited (OIL).
Dipa was felicitated in a ceremony in Agartala last week and presented with a cheque of Rs five Lakh in appreciation of her efforts in bringing glory to the nation in gymnastics, an OIL release said on Saturday.
OIL Director (Human Resource) N K Bharali congratulated Dipa for bringing laurels to the nation and appreciated Tripura Government for nurturing a talent like her, an icon among her generation.
Bharali said OIL's initiative to felicitate Karmakar reflected the company's commitment towards encouraging sports and to inspire the upcoming sportspersons.
Karmakar said the support from OIL will not only help her in pursuing her sports but also inspire players like her to excel in various other sports.
