Novak Djokovic beats Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3, 7-6 (3) to enter men's singles semi-finals at Paris Olympics.

Novak Djokovic clinched the first set 6-3 against Stefanos Tsitsipas but the latter has made a remarkable comeback in the second set. Tsitsipas is currently leading 4-1 in the second set.

Novak Djokovic started the match by holding on his serve before Stefanos Tsitsipas too did the same. The third game saw Djokovic holding his serve again.

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy/Chirag Shetty lose to Aaron Chia/Wooi Yik Soh (Malaysia) in Olympics badminton men's doubles last 8. Medal hope shattered by the Malaysians.

We are off to the deciding game as Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty lose the second game in the quarterfinals against Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Woo Yik. They go down 14-21.

After winning the opening game, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty now trail in the second game against Tokyo bronze medallists Aaron Chia and Soh Woo Yik in the men's double event.

Anjum Moudgil and Sift Kaur Samra are out of the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women's final after finishing 18 and 31 in the qualifiers. A disappointing result for the Indian contingent.

India's star duo of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy won the first game of their quarterfinal match against Malaysia's Aaron Chia and Soh Woo Yik.

Anjum Moudgil and Sift Kaur Samra are on the verge of elimination. Both are currently out of the top 8 qualifying spots, with plenty of ground to cover. As things stand, there won't be any shooter in the women's 50m Rifle 3 Positions final

Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have a narrow 12-10 lead over Malaysia Aaron Chia and Woo Yih Soh in the men's doubles quarter-final. A close game so far. The Malaysians have put on a strong display so far

Anjum Moudgil and Sift Kaur Samra are 22nd and 28th after the end of the Kneeling and Prone rounds. The chances are slim as only the top 8 shooters qualify for the final. At the moment, both are out of contention.

Disappointin from Sift Kaur Samra in the Prone round as well. She only manages 99 and 96, and now sits 25 in the standings. As things stand, she is out of the finals race. Anjum, too, has dropped out of contention after a bright start. Not looking good for the Indian shooters at the moment. 

After the end of the Kneeling round, it's Anjum who is closest to the qualifications spots. She is currently 9th with an aggregate of 97 and 99. Sift Samra, on the other hand, is 25th with scores of 96 and 97.

Sift Kaur Samra and Anjum Moudgil are in action as the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Women's Qualification begins. First up is the Kneeling round. All shooters will take 20 shots in this round.

Sift Kaur Samra and Anjum Moudgil will represent India in the round. Top 8 shooters will qualify for the final on tomorrow. 

"10 years hardwork paid off. I was not looking at the scoreboard. I was able to rectify my mistakes from the past, and will look to go one step further next time. I was not looking at scoreboard or anything else. I was just focused on my shooting," Swapnil told reporters after winning bronze.

Nikhat Zareen crashes out of Paris Olympics after losing to China's Wu Yu in women's 50kg round of 16. The world number one gets a unanimous 5-0 verdict to advance to the quarterfinals.

Wu Yu also takes the second round after a split verdict! Nikhat seems down and out against the Asian champion from China. 

John-John Dohmen puts Belgium 2-1 up in the dying embers of Q3. All to play for India in final 15 minutes. However, they have already qualified for the quarterfinals

In archery, Pravin Jadhav goes down 0-6 against China's Wenchao Kao in Men's 1/32 Elimination Round. Another disappointment for India in Archery. 

Wu Yu takes the first round 4-1 against Nikhat Zareen. The Indian will look to bounce back in the second round. Not going to be easy against the Tokyo medallist.

Nikaht's bout has started! She is in action against China's Wu Yu in women's 50kg round of 16. A lot of grappling in the early exchanges from both boxers.

"We let him focus on his work and didn't even call him yesterday so that he should not get distracted. For the last 10 to 12 years, he was mostly away from home, focusing on his marksmanship. People have been calling up incessantly to congratulate us," Swapnil's father told PTI after he won bronze for India in shooting.

Meanwhile, Belgium have equalised in the 3rd Quarter of their men's hockey match against India. Thibeau Stockbroekx beat Sreejesh from close range in the 33rd minute. This comes after Abhishek had put India ahead in the second quarter

Nikhat Zareen will be action. She takes on China's Wu Yu in women's 50kg round of 16. The bout starts at 2:30 PM.

Recapping Swapnil's show in the final, he shot an aggregate of 451.4 in the eight-shooter final to finish third after being placed sixth at one stage. That was enough to clinch India's 3rd bronze medal of the Paris Olympics. Not to forget, he was trailing after Kneeling and Prone rounds. The Standing position was key and he delivered a top performance under pressure.

Swapnil is a huge admirer of former Indian cricket team captain MS Dhoni. He has watched the biopic of the World Cup winner multiple times and hopes to match the lofty achievements of the champion cricketer.

Swapnil, who hails from Kambalwadi village near Kolhapur in Maharashtra, has been competing in international events since 2012 but the 29-year-old had to wait another 12 years to make his Olympics debut at the Paris Games.

Swapnil Kusale is now an Olympic medallist. For the unversed, he draws inspiration from M S Dhoni as he too is a railway ticket collector like the cricket icon was early in his career.

Swapnil shoots 52.7 in the first round of Prone. He gains a position and moves to 5th. However, still not enough. We will start losing a shooter after the Prone round.

The kneeling round comes to an end and Swapnil remains sixth. An aggregate of 153.3 after 15 shots. He is currently out of medal contention. The shooters will now change their gears for the Prone round. After this, the elimination will begin. Swapnil needs to pull up his socks.

After 10 shots, Swapnil remains sixth with an aggregate of 101.7 (50.9 + 50.8). Not the ideal start from the Indian. This will only get trickier for him from here on

And the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's Final. India's Swapnil Kusale is in action. A slow start from him as he currently lies joint sixth with an aggregate of 50.8

Swapnil Kusale is all set to gun for gold in the men's 3p rifle final. He shot an aggregate of 198 (99, 99) in the kneeling position, 197 (98, 99) in the prone position and 195 (98, 97) in the standing position as top eight shooters in a field of 44 made it to the final round.

Vikash has dropped down in the pecking order, and seems to be out of the medal contention with less than 5kms of distance left in the 20 Km Men's Race Walk. Italy's Massimo Stano and the Spanish duo of Alvaro Martin and Paul McGrath are occupying the podium.

After 7kms, Vikash Singh is gaining ground. He is currently 12th, but has started making inroads on his opponents. Meanwhile, Akshdeep Singh had a DNF. Paramjeet is also deep down in the pecking order. Still around 13 kms left. It will be interesting to see if Vikash can keep the momentum going

While we do await the start of the Race Walk, our main focus will be on the 50m Rifle 3 Positions Men's final with Swapnil Kusale in medal contention. Swapnil put on a brutal shift yesterday to seal his place in the final. India have won two medals, both in shooting. Can Swapnil land the third?

We await the start of the 20km men's race walk. Akshdeep Singh, Vikas Singh, Paramjeet Bisht will be in action when the event begins. Initially scheduled for 7:30 am (11:00 am), the revised time was 8 am (11:30 am). However, we have crossed that time as well.

On day one of the athletics competitions at the Paris Olympics, the 20km men's race walk event has been dealyed by half-an-hour due to weather conditions. Initially scheduled for 7:30 am (11:00 am). The event will now take place at 8:00 am ( 11:30 am).

The women's event has also been delayed, with the start postponed to 10 am (1:30 pm) from 9:20 am (12:50 pm).
