Chain Singh blew away a good position in the final stage of the men's 50m rifle 3 positions qualification round, to crash out of the event. Gagan Narang blew away a good start in the 50m rifle prone on Friday, and will be looking to redeem himself in what is going to be his final event at the Rio Olympics.
Chain Singh had endured a frustrating day in the same event as well, finishing well out of the medal positions, and will hope to bring a few cheers back home in what has been an extremely disappointing Olympics Games for India.
However, qualification to the finals will be anything but easy. Reigning world champion Zhu Qinan will start among the favourites for the gold, while Russia's Sergey Kamenskiy is expected to be in contention for the top honours as well.
