Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's century went in vain as Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Rajasthan Royals by five wickets in their IPL match here on Saturday. Sooryavanshi hammered his second hundred in the IPL — a 37-ball 103 — as Rajasthan Royals put on board a strong 228 for six after they were put in to bat first. Sooryavanshi got plenty of support from Dhruv Jurel, who made a 35-ball 51 and, helped the teenager milk 112 runs for the second wicket. In the death overs, Donovan Ferreira (33) played some big shots as RR went past the 200-run mark. But, SRH chased down the target of 229 with nine balls to spare, with Ishan Kishan top-scoring with a 74 off 31 balls. Abhishek Sharma chipped in with 57 off 29 deliveries as SRH reached 229 for 5 in 18.3 overs.

A six for Aniket Verma and SRH have chased down 229 quite easily. It was a great show from Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma as they made short work of the chase and for the second time today, a score of more than 220 was chased down!

Two wickets for Brijesh Sharma as Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy both lost their wickets. However, too little too late for the team as SRH are on the verge of a sensational win.

This is just too easy for Sunrisers Hyderabad. It is almost difficult to think that it is a 220-plus run chase as the SRH batters have been performing brilliantly. More boundaries for Klaasen and Reddy as they look to finish this game in style.

Heinrich Klaasen and Nitish Kumar Reddy are not bothered with the fall of wickets at all! They are playing sensational cricket and SRH are well on course to victory. A four and a six for Nitish Kumar Reddy and the RR bowlers are losing heart.

Jofra Archer into the attack and he strikes instantly! It is the important wicket of Ishan Kishan and Rajasthan Royals are back in this encounter. Kishan was caught in the deep and it is game on!

Donovan Ferreira provided the crucial breakthrough for his side as Abhishek Sharma was caught in the deep. However, it did not make much difference to SRH as Ishan Kishan and Heinrich Klaasen continued to play their natural game. Two sixes off Ravi Bishnoi and the required run rate is just above 8 now!

Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan have both looked excellent in this run chase and they both successfully reached their half-centuries. This is just too easy for SRH!

Riyan Parag into the attack but the SRH batters are hardly bothered. A four each for Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan resulted in yet another good over for SRH.

This has been a masterclass from Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma. 89 runs in the powerplay and they are actually ahead of RR's score after 6 overs. Couple of dropped catches and the batters have really taken advantage!

Another missed catch and Shimron Hetmyer is the culprit. The ball went straight to the fielder at thirdman but he missed it completely and the ball went for a six. The batter was quite thankful as he returned the favour by hitting a four and a six.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi looks in a spot of bother as it seems that the youngster is suffering from cramps. The pain is quite a bit as he looks almost in tears and the physio is out. RR are not taking any chances and Sooryavanshi quickly limped out of the field for a check-up!

It has been a fascinating battle between bat and ball today. Jofra Archer and Nandre Burger have both bowled quite well but the counter-attack from Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan is also on. Three boundaries in the Archer over and this has been a brilliant show from Kishan.

So much happened in just 5 balls! Dhruv Jurel dropped Travis Head's catch on the very first ball and the Australia batter made him pay with a six off the fourth delivery. However, it was the pacer who had the last laugh as he dismissed Head on the very next ball with Jurel taking a good catch.

Rajasthan Royals post a total of 228/6 but they will not be happy for sure. Despite Sooryavanshi slamming 103, they failed to score big in the death overs. Hinge got a wicket in the final over as Shimron Hetmyer was caught in the deep. However, despite SRH boosting of massive names, this will surely not be an easy chase.

What a splendid over from Eshan Malinga. Just one boundary conceded but he took the important wicket of Donovan Ferreira. Almost all the balls were yorkers and the batter could only manage to find the fielder in the deep.

2 sixes and one four - Donovan Ferreira took Shakib Hussain completely apart in the over and this has been a brilliant show from him. Vaibhav provided the perfect start to the RR innings and it looks like Ferreira is looking to finish it in style.

What a bowling performance from Pat Cummins. Just 27 runs conceded in 4 overs and he even took the wicket of Riyan Parag. A perfect yorker from the SRH captain and his RR counterpart had absolutely no idea!

The stunning knock finally came to an end for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi and the wicket belongs to Sakib Hussain. A straightforward LBW dismissal and the umpire had no hesitation in raising his finger. A brilliant knock ends but RR have the chance to post a huge total!

A 36-ball hundred for Vaibhav Sooryavanshi! Take a bow! This has been a special knock from the youngster and he celebrated it with a heart gesture followed by a salute. What a knock and what a talent!

Finally a breakthrough! Nitish Kumar Reddy with a wicket as Dhruv Jurel departs. He miscued his shot completely and Aniket Verma completed the catch easily.
