Indore:
Former Olympian Aslam Sher Khan today said hockey can regain its Olympic glory provided it is "prevented from glamourisation".
"The hockey team should be prevented from the glamour that has entered the game of cricket in the interest of hockey and its players", Khan told reporters here.
He said the country "is now already in the top four but our chances of winning an Olympic medal would get a boost only if there is unbiased selection of the team".
"Also, training should be given by a foreign coach", he added.
Praising the Indian hockey team for "doing exceptionally well", he said India had succeeded in establishing regional supremacy. (PTI)
