Haryana, Punjab and Jharkhand enter junior women hockey semi-finals
Haryana pulled off a fine 8-0 win against fancied Odisha in the first quarter-final match.

Haryana, Punjab and Jharkhand entered the semi-finals of the 3rd Hockey India Junior Women National Championship being played at the Astroturf Hockey Stadium in Ranchi on Monday.
Haryana pulled off a fine 8-0 win against fancied Odisha in the first quarter-final match.
Haryana, for whom Jyoti Gupta (4), Nicky (1), Malkeet Kaur (1), Navpreet Kaur (1) and Navneet Kaur (1) scored, thus remain unbeatable in the championship.
In the second quarter-final match, Punjab edged past Tamil Nadu 9-1. For Punjab Ruchi Batta (2), Baljeet Kaur (2), Navjeet Kaur (2), Sandeep Kaur (2) and Kuljeet Kaur (1) scored while Tamil Nadu's only goal was scored by Parmeswari.
In the third quarter-final match, Jharkhand beat Uttar Pradesh 7-1.
Scorers for Jharkhand were Rajni Soreng (1st min), Punam Madhuri Tete (10th, 20th min), Swati Herenj (33rd min), Anima Minz (56th min), Rukmani Dodray (62nd min) and Nomita Xalxo (65th min) while Kavita Maurya (14th min) scored the only goal for Uttar Pradesh.
