Jeev tied 33rd at Dunhill Championship

Jeev Milkha Singh faltered on the back nine to turn in a modest even-par 72 for a share of the 33rd spot in the Alfred Dunhill Links golf Championship.

Jeev Milkha Singh faltered on the back nine as he battled cold conditions and strong winds to turn in a modest even-par 72 for a share of the 33rd spot after the penultimate round of the Alfred Dunhill Links golf Championship.

Jeev's three-round total stands at two-over 218 at the the tournament which is being played around The Old Course at St Andrews, Kingsbarns and Carnoustie.

Jeev, playing at Kingsbarns, Jeev opened with a birdie on the first hole before gaining two more strokes on the third and sixth to make the turn three-under.

However, it all went downhill in the back nine, which Jeev started with a bogey on the 10th. Although he managed a birdie on the 14th but a hat-trick of bogeys from the 15th to 17th dashed his hopes of returning an under-par card.

The other Indians in fray Shiv Kapur (81) and Jyoti Randhawa (77) were way down the leaderboard at the tied 101st and 108th position respectively.

Kapur, playing at the Kingsbarns, has a total of nine-over 225. Randhawa, playing at St Andrews, was a stroke adrift of Kapur.

At the top, German Martin Kaymer (73) and Swede Jarmo Sandelin (72) shared the lead with a total of six-under 210.

Another Swede Magnus A Carlsson (73) followed the duo a stroke behind.
