Jeev ends tied 24th at Dunhill Championship

Jeev Milkha Singh sizzled with a final-round five-under 67 to sign off a creditable tied 24th at the Alfred Dunhill Links golf Championship.

Jeev Milkha Singh sizzled with a final-round five-under 67 to sign off a creditable tied 24th at the Alfred Dunhill Links golf Championship here.

The seasoned pro ended his campaign with a total of three-under 285 at the tournament which was played at The Old Course in St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.

In a flawless front nine, Jeev stroked in four birdies -- on the third, sixth, seventh and ninth -- to make the turn four-under.

The Chandigarh golfer carried the fine form to the back nine as well, picking up shots on the 11th and 15th. But a bogey on the 17th prevented him from finishing higher-up the leader-board.

Meanwhile, Swede Robert Karlsson beat England's Ross Fisher and Germany's Martin Kaymer in a three-way play-off to clinch the title.

Karlsson shot a 65 at The Old Course to finish with 10-under 278 along with Fisher (65) and Kaymer (68) in the regulation four rounds.
