The tournament is considered to be the wimbledon of golf and the debutant is quite sure that he does have an outside chance of winning the green jacket.

Till not so long ago, Jeev Milkha Singh was better known as the son of the flying sikh. Today he's known by a lot more. The number one golfer in Asia in 2006, the first Indian to win a European tour event in Europe and now the first indian to play in the masters.

Jeev earned the right to play at the first golf major of the year by virtue of being ranked in the top 50 in the world. That, after he won four tournaments last year - the biggest one being the Volva Masters in Europe, an event that featured the best golfers in the world.

But golfers insists that playing the masters is something is at a whole new level altogether.

"Oh yes for sure I'm going to be nervous on the first tee, the first day. But that's part of it. That's what we live for. It's part of a golfer's dream and that's what we sportsman are there for. We have to be nervous on the first few holes but you've got to settle down and make the most out of it," he added.

"There is 15 years of waiting just to get your entry tickets so you can image how prestigious it is. It's every golfer's dream. I have been dreaming about it and so has jeev and it's a dream come true," said Shiv Kapur.

Jeev although had a sluggish start to the year - his best finish has been tied for 22nd place at the Qatar Masters while in his 3 events in USA he has has a best showing of tied for 28th.
