Dubai: Randhawa in second place after Rd 1

Dubai: Jyoti Randhawa had a great first round at the Dubai Dessert Classic as he shot a 6 under to end up tied for second place. Jyoti had eight birdies and two bogeys in his round to end up doing better than Tiger Woods - the world number one is at 4 under 68 to be tied for 10th place. Woods managed six birdies in his round but also had two bogeys. He is just coming off his seventh consecutive PGA Tour title win at the Buick Invitational. Meanwhile Englishman Ross Fisher and Graeme Mcdowell of Northern Ireland are the first round leaders at 7 under.
