Nagasaki :
Gaganjeet Bhullar's maiden Japan Tour campaign ended in agony with the Indian golfer missing the cut in the Japan PGA Championship after a horrendous second round here on Friday.
Bhullar went into the second round tied 17th after his strong opening round of 69 but the Kapurthala lad stuttered to a 10-over 80 today to crash out with a two-day total of nine-over 149.
Bhullar lost the plot in the front nine itself, dropping three shots on the third foul and squandering four on the very next and finishing the stretch with a bogey as well to lie eight-over at the turn.
On his way back, Bhullar dropped another shot on the 15th hole and double bogeyed the next. The final holey birdie was hardly a consolation as Bhullar had his campaign lying in tatters.
Tetsuji Hiratsuka (132) carded six-under 64 to open up a three-stroke lead over Hiroshi Iwata (67).
