Lakeside, California:

Golfer Arjun Atwal went four-over for the day and slipped right down the leaderboard from tied 21st down to 58th in the season-ending Nationwide Tour Championship at Barona Creek.

Atwal, who had no hope of making the top-25 to get a PGA Tour card for 2008, will now have to go to the Qualifying School to try and get into the PGA, or play one more year on Nationwide.

Michael Letzig followed his tournament-record 60 with a 5-under 66 to increase his lead to four strokes.

Atwal started with a double bogey Friday. Then he again had bogeys on 13th, 16th and 17th and just one birdie on 14th.

Letzig entered the week 26th on the list, one spot away from earning a PGA Tour card for 2008. Roland Thatcher, the money leader, also shot a 64 to join Jim McGovern (66), Tom Scherrer (65), B.J. Staten (66) and Tjaart van der Walt (68) at 11 under.

Scherrer began the week 27th on the money list, while Staten was 30th, McGovern 45th and van der Walt 49th.
