Red Bull says Japanese automotive brand Infiniti will become its naming sponsor next season.
The team will be called Infiniti Red Bull Racing in 2013 and the current partnership will evolve from a commercial sponsorship to a relationship involving the transfer of technology.
Red Bull says it agreed to a four-year extension with Infiniti, joining the brand "on a number of engineering and development projects."
Red Bull team principal Christian Horner said Sunday that "Infiniti has demonstrated significant technical prowess" and he's been "impressed by the depth of the wider engineering capabilities of the Nissan Motor Company."
Red Bull chief technical officer Adrian Newey says "having a committed technical partner like Infiniti gives us a great platform for working together on technical projects."
Red Bull has won three straight constructors' titles.
