London:
Wolverhampton Wanderers were relegated from the English Premier League after a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City on Sunday.
Bottom of the table Wolves had to win against title-chasing City at Molineux to preserve their fading hopes of staying in the top flight after three seasons in the Premier League.
But they fell behind to Argentina forward Sergio Aguero's 27th minute opener before former Arsenal midfielder Samir Nasri's goal 16 minutes from time made the game safe for the visitors as Wolves were relegated with three games left to play.
Blackburn and Bolton currently occupy the other two relegation places, with fellow north-west side Wigan three points above the drop zone.
