Wigan:
Wigan remained rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table after a 0-0 draw against Aston Villa at the DW Stadium on Saturday.
Wigan started brightly, enjoying the bulk of the possession, but needed goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi to make two sharp first-half saves to keep it in the game.
Villa striker Robbie Keane, playing in the final game of his loan spell before returning to MLS side LA Galaxy, was the first to try his luck with a low long-range effort. Darren Bent was then sent clear by Keane but Al Habsi held his ground.
The sides exchanged chances in the second half before settling for a point apiece that leaves the visitors unchanged in 15th.
The draw extends Wigan's winless home sequence to 11 games, its longest-ever such run.
