Milan:

Brazilian superstriker Ronaldo wants to leave Inter Milan to "regain the smile he has lost," his agent, Alexandre Martins, was quoted as saying on Monday. Newspaper in Italy and Spain were filled with reports on Saturday and Sunday saying that Ronaldo wants to leave his Milan club to join Real Madrid. "It's not a problem of money, Ronaldo only wants to regain the happiness and the best conditions in which to play soccer," the Italian news agency ANSA quoted him as saying. The ANSA report said Ronaldo would be in Milan on Tuesday to convince Inter officials to let him leave. Club officials were not available for comment. Martins said in comments published on Sunday that the star wants to leave Inter after so many bad experiences there, including injuries and losing the league championship on the last day of last season. The 26-year-old Ronaldo, perhaps the world's most popular and recognizable player, came back after lengthy injury problems to have a brilliant World Cup. He scored both goals in Brazil's 2-0 win over Germany in the final and was the tournament's leading scorer with eight goals.(AP)
