Czech team officials say the right thigh muscle doesn't seem to be a problem but have acknowledged that Wednesday's scan at a Wroclaw hospital should help determine how serious the injury is.
Baros had to cut short Tuesday's training ahead of the team's opening game at the European Championship against Russia.
For coach Michal Bilek, Baros' absence would be a major blow for his plan in attack. Bilek prefers a lineup with a lone striker and Baros is the No. 1 choice.
The 30-year-old Baros has scored 41 international goals but netted only once in qualifying.
The rest of the team trained Wednesday in Wroclaw, including captain Tomas Rosicky, who has recovered from a calf injury.
