Fenerbahce rallied beat visiting Salzburg 3-1 on goals by Raul Meireles, Moussa Sow and Pierre Webo on Tuesday night, advancing to the playoff round of the UEFA Champions League on 4-2 aggregate.
Jonathan Soriano had put Salzburg ahead in the fourth minute. Fenerbahce is awaiting a hearing date at the Court of Arbitration for Sport to appeal a two-year ban from European competitions, imposed after club officials were convicted in a criminal trial of helping fix Turkish league matches in 2011.
Lyon also reached the playoff round, winning 1-0 over Grasshoppers in Zurich on Clement Grenier's 82nd-minute goal for a 2-0 victory in the home-and-home, total-goals series.
Basel advanced on 4-3 aggregate despite wasting a three-goal lead in a 3-3 draw at Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Steaua Bucharest, Slovenia's Maribor, Kazakhstan's Shakhter Karagandy and Bulgaria's Ludogorets Razgrad also advanced to Friday's draw.
