Transfer news: Marseille reach deal to sign Dimitri Payet from Lille

Marseille have reached an agreement in principle to sign French international Dimitri Payet from Lille, subject to a medical, the club announced Thursday on their website.
No details regarding the fee or the length of the contract were made available, while a medical was expected to take place next week.
Payet, 26, scored 12 goals for Lille last season and with a league record 12 assists, was described as "one of the best players in Ligue 1 during the 2012/13 campaign" in a statement released by Marseille.
The winger has been capped five times by France.
