London:

Liverpool's teenage midfielder Suso joined Spanish club Almeria on a season-long loan on Friday.

Suso starred for Spain at the recent Under-20 World Cup, but Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has decided to let the 19-year-old further his development with Almeria, who are back in the Spanish top-flight after winning promotion last season.

Suso, who joined Liverpool from Cadiz in 2010, broke into the Reds' team last season and made 20 appearances.

"Liverpool have confirmed Suso has joined Union Deportiva Almeria on a season-long loan deal," the club announced on their website.

"The 19-year-old will spend the 2013-14 season with the newly promoted La Liga club."
