Most toilets in Polish cities hosting the 2012 European Football Championship are in good condition but too scarce and hard to find.
The organisers of Toilet 2012 campaign revealed on Wednesday that the best toilets can be found in Poznan, followed by Warsaw, Wroclaw and Gdansk.
Toilet 2012 surveyors visited lavatories at rail and air terminals, in parks, bars, fuel stations and sport centres.
"Our aim is to prevent Poles having to feel embarrassed about the standard of lavatories in their country when Poland will be visited by hundreds of thousands of tourists arrived for the football championship," said Andrzej Smolko, head of the CSW-boco Polska agency which initiated the Toilet 2012 campaign.
Smolko said the biggest problem was the scarcity of public toilets, Xinhua reports.
Euro 2012, to take place from June 8 to July 1, will be co-hosted by Poland and Ukraine across eight cities. The matches will be played in Poland's Warsaw, Wroclaw, Poznan, Gdansk and Ukraine's Kiev, Lvov, Kharkov and Donetsk.
