One-time FIFA presidency candidate Luis Figo hailed Sepp Blatter's decision on Tuesday to step down as head of world football's governing body, saying "change is finally coming" to the scandal-tainted organisation.
Figo withdrew from the race to succeed Blatter as FIFA president before Friday's vote that saw the Swiss veteran voted in for a fifth term. ('Shame Blatter was re-elected')
But Blatter's shock announcement that he was stepping down amid a corruption scandal left Figo delighted. (FIFA scandal deepens)

After withdrawing from the presidency race, 42-year-old Figo had thrown his support behind Jordan's Prince Ali bin al Hussein, who went on to lose to Blatter in Friday's election but who is said to be ready to stand again.
