One-time FIFA presidency candidate Luis Figo hailed Sepp Blatter's decision on Tuesday to step down as head of world football's governing body, saying "change is finally coming" to the scandal-tainted organisation.

After withdrawing from the presidency race, 42-year-old Figo had thrown his support behind Jordan's Prince Ali bin al Hussein, who went on to lose to Blatter in Friday's election but who is said to be ready to stand again.
