The Iranian league champions Sepahan maintained their unbeaten start to the 2004 AFC Champions League by beating Saudi Arabia's Al-Ittihad 3-2 in a game in which all five goals were scored in the second half - home hero Mahmoud Karimi scoring a brace.
The win takes the Iranians to the top of Group D with seven points, one ahead of Al Ittihad, for whom tonight's loss came after consecutive wins in their opening two games.
Al-Arabi of Kuwait and Neftchi of Uzbekistan complete the table with 1 and 0 points respectively. (AP)
