Rupees 700 to watch Messi play live

Soccer fans in India can get a chance to see Lionel Messi for as less as Rs 700. Argentina will take on Venezuela in an international friendly at the Salt Lake Stadium here on September 2.

The soccer-crazed city can grab tickets which will range between Rs 700 and and Rs 5120 for the VIP 2 enclosure. It was earlier decided that the base-price would be set at Rs 1000 but the state government requested that it be brought down. The event managers said in a media release that tickets in other denominations between Rs 1550 and Rs 2470 are also made available in the lower tier.

Tickets will be made available online from August 3 and a counter has also been set up at the Mohammedan Sporting ground.
