Former Russian champions Rubin Kazan on Tuesday quashed speculation that the club had offered Spanish giants Real Madrid 45 million euros for Brazilian international midfielder Kaka.

Former Russian champions Rubin Kazan on Tuesday quashed speculation that the club had offered Spanish giants Real Madrid 45 million euros for Brazilian international midfielder Kaka.
"We've heard these rumours, it's absolutely ridiculous," club spokesman Maxim Lopukhov was quoted by local media as saying.
"I've contacted the club chiefs and they also told me it's not serious."
Spanish sports daily Marca had reported that Rubin had made Real a 45-million-euro offer for the 28-year-old Brazilian, who has been struggling with injuries.
