Eindhoven:
PSV Eindhoven will host Turkey's Fenerbahce in a Group E Champions League encounter on Tuesday knowing that a win will be enough to send them through to the round of 16.
But the visitors will themselves be seeking a victory which would guarantee them a UEFA Cup spot when that tournament resumes in 2006.
PSV Eindhoven have scored only two goals in five Champions League matches this year.
The Dutch league leaders are third in Group E with seven points, one point behind leaders AC Milan and Schalke.
A win will guarantee PSV a place in the round of 16, and a draw could be enough if Schalke beat Milan.
PSV coach Guus Hiddink is looking forward to the match.
The Dutch team is unbeaten at home this season and have won nine successive league matches.
Beasley's return
Apart from their fine domestic form, PSV could also be boosted by the return of USA midfielder DaMarcus Beasley, who missed the Champions League match against Schalke with a hamstring injury.
Ibrahim Afellay, who sat out PSV's 3-0 league win over NAC Breda on Saturday, will need to pass a late fitness test, while midfielders Mika Vayrynen and John de Jong have knee injuries.
For their part, Fenerbahce, who will be seeking their first win on Dutch soil, know they can clinch a place in the UEFA Cup with a win.
In the Turkish league, the team was held to a 2-2 draw at the weekend by visiting Trabzonspor. (AP)
