Kolkata:

While declaring the sale of 42,000 tickets for the Messi match, the organisers on Sunday announced that Nivia ball will be used for the Argentina-Venezuela tie here September 2.

"Nivia Simbola is a ball approved by FIFA. This means this ball is eligible to be played at all top ranking international matches under the aegis of FIFA. The ball is really good," said Bhaswar Goswami, executive director, Celebrity Management Group (CMG).

Goswami on Sunday said that both the Argentine and the Venezuelan teams will practice in Salt Lake stadium. Soccer superstar Lionel Messi will make his debut as full-time captain of the star-studded Argentina team that will take on Venezuela in a FIFA official international friendly match to be played at the Salt Lake Stadium.

"We are ready from the organisational point of view. Ticket sales are brisk and we are expecting a full house. Forty-two thousand tickets are already sold. Only last categories of tickets are left."

"It will be a memorable day for Kolkata as it will witness few greats players of football history live in action during their peak years," said Goswami.
