Rosario:
Colombian striker Julian Vasquez scored a hat-trick as Newell's Old Boys staged
a spectacular comeback, recovering from three goals behind with just 35 minutes
left, to beat Talleres four-three in the Argentinian Apertura (Opening) league c
hampionship at the 'El Coloso' Stadium in Rosario on Wednesday.
Two goals from Chilean Aldo Osorio and one from Ezequiel Lazaro appeared to have put Omar Pastoriza's team in control but Newell's, who are now up to fourth, stormed back with the former America-Cali striker hitting a hat-trick in 26 minutes and Mauro Rosales claiming the other goal.
Newell's still have chance of claiming the runners-up spot with just three games remaining but Boca Juniors have already won their 20th domestic league title after a two-one victory at Arsenal on Thursday. (AP)
