More fixing in Italian football? Yes says police chief

Italy's national police chief has warned that more football match-fixing is about to be revealed, with the country's favorite sport already reeling from scandal.

Speaking alongside Interpol Secretary General Ronald K. Noble at a meeting of foreign media on Tuesday, Antonio Manganelli says that "some illicit behavior has already been uncovered to remarkable effect" and "other acts are about to come out and will bring, if possible, even greater responses."

At least 50 people have been arrested for match-fixing since the middle of last year, with scores more under investigation by prosecutors in Cremona and Bari.

Multiple clubs and players have already been penalized by sports courts. Antonio Conte, the coach of Serie A champion Juventus, recently had his ban reduced from 10 to four months.
