Maxi Rodriguez leaves Liverpool for Newell's Old Boys

Liverpool midfielder Maxi Rodriguez has joined Newell's Old Boys in Argentina for an undisclosed fee, the English Premier League giants said Friday.
Maxi, 31, arrived at Anfield from Atletico Madrid in Spain in January, 2010, and went on to to score 17 goals in 73 appearances for the Reds.
"Everyone at Liverpool FC would like to thank Maxi for his contribution to the club and wish him all the best for the future," said a club statement.
