Manchester United, Liverpool Charged by UEFA Over Europa League Crowd Trouble
Manchester United and Liverpool were charged on Friday by UEFA with crowd disturbances and throwing objects following scuffles between both sets of fans late in the Europa League match, which Liverpool won 3-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw.

UEFA has opened disciplinary proceedings against Manchester United and Liverpool following incidents at their Europa League clash on Thursday night. (Liverpool Send Manchester United Out of Europa League)
Both clubs were charged on Friday by UEFA with crowd disturbances and throwing objects following scuffles between both sets of fans late in the match, which Liverpool won 3-1 on aggregate after a 1-1 draw.
The incidents occurred, reportedly, after some visiting Liverpool fans managed to get into a section containing home supporters.
Liverpool have also been charged with illicit chanting and setting off fireworks. United's other charge is for having blocked stairways.
UEFA said the case will be looked at on May 19.
