Liverpool: It is match day six of the Champions League, but half of Tuesday night's games are irrelevant since the teams from groups A and C have already booked their place in the champions league. But there is plenty at stake for Liverpool and Lazio. Liverpool who have had three draws from their five Champions League matches, including one against Borussia Dortmund in Germany, must hold on for yet another draw against the German side in the return match at Anfield on Tuesday. But if the Reds lose and Boavista avoid defeat away to Dynamo Kiev, then Liverpool are out. But Liverpool who have been without manager Gerard Houllier and striker Michael Owen, will be glad to have one of the two stars back. Owen made his return for Liverpool with his 14th goal of the season in the team's 2-0 win over Charlton over the weekend. But the Germans will be a confident side after securing their fifth consecutive away win in the Bundesliga. Their only hope for survival is a win. Arsenal will be the first English team Schalke will be hosting in more than 30 years. The German side had lost to the gunners 3-2 in the first leg at Highbury, and this return leg is inconsequential for both teams since arsenal are though while Schalke have no chance. But the Londoners do have one thing on the agenda, to try and score their first away goal in the competition. Group D is still wide open, with French champions Nantes leading with 8 points. They had won their opening two games. They have to now beat Lazio at home to confirm their place in the second phase while the Italian side who came back from three defeats themselves have to win if they want to secure a place in the next round. PSV Eindhoven meanwhile arrived in Turkey to take on Galatasaray. Both sides are equal on points, with the Dutch side ahead on goal difference, both teams know the winner of the match will go through. In other matches, group A has two games with nothing at stake since Real Madrid and AS Roma are both through to the second round. In group B, Portuguese champions Boavista must beat Dynamo Kiev to confirm their place. Group C is already decided, so that leaves group D where Lazio travel to France to play Nantes.
