Lippi awaits Totti's return

Italy coach Marcello Lippi met with Francesco Totti on Wednesday and reminded the injured playmaker that he is anxiously awaiting his return. Both Lippi and Totti were in attendance for AS Roma's UEFA Cup match against Middlesbrough. "I took advantage of the opportunity by greeting Francesco and reminding him that I am waiting for him," said Lippi. Totti fractured his left leg and strained ligaments in his ankle while being tackled during Roma's Serie A match with Empoli on February 19. He is due to return just in time for the June 9-July 9 World Cup. (AP)
