JCT Phagwara outplayed Tollygunge Agragami 2-0 to notch their second consecutive win in the seventh National Football League (NFL).

JCT Phagwara outplayed Tollygunge Agragami 2-0 to notch their second consecutive win in the seventh National Football League (NFL) here today. In the slow paced game, the first goal for the hosts was scored by a lone attempt from centre forward Hardeep Gill in the 23rd minute. At the breather JCT led 1-0. JCT sealed the fate in their favour in the 88th minute of the game when Harvinder Junior succeeded in putting the ball in the net. With this win, JCT now have eight points from seven matches and are placed sixth in the 12-team league. JCT have won two matches and played two draws. Tollygunge with four points from one victory and a draw are languishing in the 10th spot. (PTI)
