Italy will host the United States in an international friendly in Genoa on February 29, the Italian Football Federation announced on Monday.

Italy will host the United States in an international friendly in Genoa on February 29, the Italian Football Federation announced on Monday.
It will be the 2006 world champions' first match of 2012 as they prepare for June's European Championships in Poland and Ukraine.
Italy have been drawn alongside current world champions Spain, Republic of Ireland and Croatia in Group B having won their qualifying group with two games to spare.
