ISL Will Strengthen Football at Grassroot Level: Mamata Banerjee

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Sunday said the Indian Super League will strengthen football at the grass-root level and give Indian players international exposure.
"ISL indeed is starting of a new football era. It will strengthen football at the grass root level and give our players international exposure," Banerjee posted on Facebook.
She was present at the inaugural ceremony of the Indian Super League football tournament here.

"It is a proud moment for all of us. I congratulate ISL organisers for selecting Kolkata as venue for the inaugural match of this exciting format in football," she said.
She also conveyed her her best wishes to all the eight participating teams.
