New Delhi:

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has decided to pull out of the LG Cup in Vietnam to be held later this year. India are the defending champions, but AIFF has decided to skip the event because the dates of the tournament were brought forward from September to August. The Federation says the new dates clash with the domestic schedule. Last year's win was their only international success in football in the last 30 years. India have been reeling from a series of poor performances in the sport this year. They finished a dismal third in the regional SAAF Cup.
