Hull City manager Steve Bruce has confirmed his newly-promoted Premier League club are in talks with French side Evian over a deal for striker Yannick Sagbo.
Bruce is reported to have made a bid £1.6million ($2.4 million, 1.85 million euros)for the 25-year-old former Monaco star and he admitted on Monday that negotiations are on-going.
"We're in conversations. My chief executive is speaking with Evian and we're hopeful that we can get something done because he would be a good addition," Bruce told the Hull Daily Mail.
"He's a little bit different to what we've got. He's quick, he's direct and he wants to run in behind.
"It's hard talking about a player who belongs to another club but there has been dialogue and we'll see where it takes us. We'll be patient and see what develops."
Bruce has already signed Sunderland striker Danny Graham on a season's loan as he looks to improve his squad ahead of Hull's return to the Premier League after three years in the Championship.
