Sao Paulo's problems continued in the Brazilian Championship with a 1-0 defeat at home to Goias on Sunday. The Copa Libertadores champions have now slipped to 19th in the table, with 18 points from 18 games. Souza scored the only goal of the game for Goias, who have moved up to seventh in the standings. Sao Paulo were reduced to ten men when Richarlyson was shown a red card in the first half, while both sides' coaches were also sent off during the match. Goias move up to seventh with 30 points, ahead of Cruzeiro and Inter on goal difference. Corinthians lead with 34 points from 18 games. (AP)
