Galaxy lets Beckham off for the royal wedding

Los Angeles Galaxy stars, the Major League soccer club of David Beckham, has given the green signal to the ace soccer player to attend the wedding of Prince Williams and Kate Middleton on Friday despite a match the next day, according to reports.

After a period of 'will-he, won't he' shrouding his invite to the roayl wedding alongwith his wife Victoria Beckham, the team management decided that Beckham can be let off so that he is able to attend the ceremony. Beckham however is reported to have said that both events are equally important for him. " Both are important and I will attend the wedding and will fly back the next day to play the match," he was quotated as telling an American soccer web-site.

Galaxy coach had earlier refused to comment on the issue saying that 'he is better off not deliberating on the players' social calender.
