France defender Adil Rami has only a minor neck injury after landing heavily on his shoulder during the scoreless draw with Croatia in a friendly.

The Lille player was injured in stoppage time on Tuesday at the Stade de France while trying to perform a scissor kick. He was carried off the pitch on a stretcher and underwent scans at La Pitie Salpetriere hospital.

The French football federation said on Wednesday in a statement that the scans "didn't reveal any sign of seriousness."

Lille says Rami will return to the club later on Wednesday and will be monitored by medical staff.
