Tirana:
France are looking for a vastly improved performance in Tuesday's European Championship qualifier in Romania after an unconvincing win in Albania.
The 2000 European champion beat Albania 2-1 on Friday to top Group D with 16 points, three clear of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
France would be in a commanding position with a victory in Bucharest as it then hosts Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina in October's last two qualifiers.
Barcelona defender Eric Abidal said France "wants to finish in first place" but "expects a tough match in Romania," adding that France will have "to raise its game."
Romania is in fourth place with 11 points and is still undefeated at home in this qualifying campaign. It beat Bosnia and Luxembourg and drew with Albania.
