Former FIFA President Joao Havelange Released From Hospital
Joao Havelange was president of FIFA between 1974 and 1998 but resigned his title of honorary president in 2013, due to his links to a bribery scandal involving Indian Super League (ISL), a sports marketing firm.

Former FIFA president Joao Havelange was discharged from hospital after receiving treatment for several days due to a lung problem, Samaritano hospital has said.
However, it did not provide more specifics as to the nature of the lung problem suffered by Havelange, 99, Xinhua reported on Saturday.
On November 26, the media reported that Havelange checked into the Samaritano with respiratory troubles, adding that "he was in a stable condition and steadily improving."
Havelange was president of FIFA between 1974 and 1998 but resigned his title of honorary president in 2013, due to his links to a bribery scandal involving Indian Super League (ISL), a sports marketing firm.
Due to these accusations, he also resigned his membership of the International Olympic Committee in 2011.
