FC Barcelona agreed to sell forward Ludovic Giuly to AS Roma on Tuesday.

"The deal is signed with Roma, the only thing missing is the player's signature on the contract," Barcelona sporting director Txiki Begiristain said.

Barcelona's Web site said Giuly was being offered a three-year contract with the Italian club. Barcelona is set to earn at least $6.2 million from the deal.

Guily, a former Lyon and Monaco player, scored 19 goals in 85 games with Barcelona since arriving in 2004 after helping lead Monaco reach to the Champions League final.

Giuly, who mostly came off the substitute's bench last season, was unlikely to earn more playing time with the arrival of striker Thierry Henry from Arsenal last month.
