England midfielder Frank Lampard will be out for three weeks because of a torn muscle in his left thigh.
The Chelsea player was hurt while training on Thursday and pulled out of Saturday's friendly against Brazil in Doha.
Lampard will likely miss Premier League matches against Wolverhampton Wanderers, Arsenal and Manchester City, as well as a Champions League meeting with FC Porto and Chelsea's League Cup quarterfinal against Blackburn.
Lampard has scored six goals in 18 games this season for the Premier League leaders.
