Croatia coach Slaven Bilic on Tuesday unveiled his final 23-man squad for Euro 2012, Lyon defender Dejan Lovren missing out because of an injury to his right foot.
"Lovren was feeling a lot of pain after training so he dropped out," Bilic told journalists in the team's training base of Bad Tatzmanndorf, Austria.
Dnepropetrovsk striker Nikola Kalinic was also dropped from the squad, as well as Dinamo Zagreb defender Sime Vrsaljko and Hajduk Split goalkeeper Goran Blazevic.
"Kalinic imposed himself," Bilic said, adding however that the squad for the June 8-July 1 Euros being hosted jointly by Poland and Ukraine was "well covered" with four strikers.
Bilic insisted his side could reach the quarter-finals despite being drawn with Spain, Italy and the Republic of Ireland in a tricky Group C.
Croatia kick off their European Championship campaign against the Republic of Ireland on June 10.
