London:
Chelsea defender David Luiz will miss the team's trip to Basel for Wednesday's Champions League group match due to a knee injury, the club said on Monday.
"Torres has recovered from the adductor muscle injury which kept him out of the last three games but David Luiz has a bruised patella," a state on the club's website said.
"He will be out for approximately one week, joining Marco van Ginkel as the only player missing from the squad list for the competition announced in September."
The absence means that John Terry and Gary Cahill are likely to continue in central defence.
