Milan:
Burglars broke into the home of AC Milan forward Robinho and escaped with numerous items of jewellery including a Rolex watch worth 30,000 euros ($39,500, 25,000 pounds), according to La Gazzetta dello Sport on Thursday.
The robbers struck on Wednesday after the Brazilian player had left his home near the club's San Siro ground to pick up his partner and their kids from the airport.
The newspaper said the player "may have forgotten" to activate the house alarm and that police had failed to find any fingerprints, suggesting the burglars had worn protective gloves.
Italy's domestic ANSA news agency added that a friend of the player called police just after 9:30 pm (1930 GMT) to say the house had been broken into and valuables taken.
